City Hall (photo above) is a 7,000-square-foot brick veneer building that houses the mayor’s office, city clerk/treasurer's office, city court and city council chambers.

City Park

The 36-acre park is located across from City Hall and is easily accessible to all residents of the city. The park features six ball fields, a paved walking trail, rest rooms, community building, pavilions, amphitheater and a fitness area.

Regular court sessions are held at the White Hall City Hall on two Wednesdays each month at 12 noon. Additional court days are scheduled as the need arises. Additionally, the Court Clerk’s Office is located here.

More than 26 miles of asphalt are maintained by the department. Besides maintaining city streets and rights-of-way, the department assists the water and sewer department with repairs.

Residents owning dogs and cats aged 3 months or older are required to fit them with a collar bearing an I.D. tag that verifies up-to-date rabies vaccination. The city also enforces a “leash law” that requires pet owners to keep their animals indoors, confined to a fenced yard or on a leash. Nuisance animals running loose in the city may be picked up by Animal Control and boarded at the animal control facility. Fines and fees must be paid at City Hall before the animal can be retrieved.

Library cards are free with proof of Jefferson County residency. The library offers free access to books, magazines, DVDs, audiobooks, research sources, plus 16 internet-connected computers, free WiFi, and free computer printing, scanning, fax service and self-service copying. The library offers reading programs for toddlers through teens, including story times and other activities, plus summer challenges. Online services such as eBooks, eAudio, music, ACT test preparation, driver’s permit practice testing and research resources at pineblufflibrary.org.

Hours: 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday

Services include issue or renewal of driver’s licenses, and vehicle, boat, trailer license tags. Buyers of vehicles can pay sales tax and effect transfer of ownership. Also, deed stamps for real property transfers may be purchased. The revenue office can also issue state identification cards. (The cards are similar to driver's licenses. They are issued to people who need identification but who do not drive.)
